The Good, the Bad, and the OKC
John's illustrated, 9-minute talk "The Good, the Bad, and the OKC," chronicles the early history of Oklahoma City. He provides rare insights into the powerful forces of law and disorder, moral uprightness and worldly compromise, peace and violence, and spiritual light and darkness that desperately contended for the heart and soul of “The City” in its formative years of the late 1800s and early 1900s.
He delivered this message in 2013 at the annual SALLTed Conference in OKC, a one-day program designed for city leaders seeking to understand God's plan for their communities and how they can use their resources and spheres of influence to be “salt and light” there. The website for the SALLT organization, led by noted Oklahoma leader Wes Lane, is www.sallt.com
