Gwin Faulconer-Lippert's KTOK/iHeartRadio Interview with John about Mustang & Oklahomans Vol
Oklahoma City radio icon Gwin Faulconer-Lippert discusses John's upcoming World War II novel Mustang with him on her KTOK/iHeartRadio Easter Sunday program. The national book release for the war epic featuring Oklahoma farm boy and football star Lance Roark and his best friend, (real life) hall of famer Waddy Young, is the Thursday before Memorial Day, May 23rd, from 5-7 p.m. at Full Circle Bookstore in OKC. The celebration features free food and the Oklahoma Home School Stage Band playing Big Band music.
The second half of the interview explores dramatic stories from Vol. 2 of The Oklahomans, which John is currently writing. These include World War II heroes, Clara Luper (The Mother of the Civil Rights Movement), and the courageous Vietnamese Boat People.
